The 30th anniversary celebration for the Air Max 1 continues with another momentous re-release of the iconic Air Max 1 Anniversary in the OG Sport Red-accented colorway. Nike designer Tinker Hatfield introduced the Air Max, featuring the first-ever visible air unit, to the world in 1987. The aforementioned colorway and its Sport Royal counterpart returned early 2017 in a limited release to celebrate Air Max Day. The Swoosh brand brings the Sport Red pair back, this time as a much more widely available release. This iteration of the Air Max 1 maintains its OG shape and details. The Sport Red hue covers the suede mudguard and Swoosh, along with the Nike branding on the heel and tongue. Grey suede and white mesh paneling balances the rest of the shoe.
